Just wondering if there is a problem with it. Is it worse than restoreformer?

I agree, CodeFormer gives quite interesting results, especially if you experiment with the --w option. Dear @xinntao , is there any possibility to return CodeFormer to GFPGAN?

Also curious. It seems both projects have nothing to do with one another besides similar name (different institutions, different researchers) but they were released only 3 days apart (22 Jun 2022 vs 25 Jun 2022).

Due to the license of CodeFormer and the author's request, we remove codeformer in this repo.

We will try to add a similar function as the adjustable -w option.

Thanks :-)

Take this with a grain of salt because I was super lazy and ran this test using the images provided by RestoreFormer and an utility meant for Stable Diffusion but I just wanted some quick idea of how CodeFormer did against RestoreFormer (even if probably these are cherry picked to favor RestoreFormer)
