Prerequisites

  • Are you running the latest version?
  • Can you reproduce the problem in the debug version?

Check and fill as appropiate:

  • I was running DiscImageChef under Windows 7...
  • ...in 32-bit

Description

Comparing a DICF image with and MDS image from A120% results in a miscompare with the message "Sector 37160 has different sizes (2324 bytes in image 1, 2048 in image 2) but are otherwise identical". Where image 1 is the DICF image. The disc is CD-XA, which is probably relevant since I haven't tested those kinds of discs as thoroughly.

Exact command line used:

dotnet .\DiscImageChef.dll compare ".\RAHJONGG.dicf" ".\RAHJONGG.mds"

Output of command execution with debug output enabled

Issue still present, but not all CD-XA discs are affected. Dumps don't match the sectors of a dump from DiscImageCreator or Alcohol 120%. Trying to convert the image iso is successful, but spams the console with ""Error Incorrect data size writing sectors x to y, continuing..." for most if not every sector. ImgBurn doesn't recognize the resulting iso file when trying to verify it compared to the disc. The verify command finds no issues with the dicf image but isn't able to recognize the iso file either. Possibly a bug when it comes to reading data out of a dicf image again? Link to images, logs, etc.: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Mkgecz24uqMNB2qYflSlLHJ2aHeXT0bZ?usp=sharing
