Prerequisites

  • Are you running the latest version?
  • Can you reproduce the problem in the debug version?

Check and fill as appropriate:

  • I was running Aaru under Windows 10
  • ...in 64-bit
  • ...using an Intel / AMD processor
  • Device manufacturer: TOSHIBA
  • Model: DVD/HD X807616
  • Bus: SCSI / USB
  • I was dumping media (disk, tape, etc)...

Description

While dumping a CSS-protected DVD video with Aaru and using the --store-encrypted flag, the disc fails to read all protected sectors on the initial dump, though on subsequent retries, it is able to read all sectors.

Exact command line used:

Aaru media dump --store-encrypted true --trim false F: "B:\ISO\disc.aaruf"

Expected behavior:

Expected the disc to be dumped properly on the first run, barring any disc imperfections

Actual behavior:

Disc only dumped properly on first retry run

Output of command execution with debug output enabled

BREAKING_BENJAMIN_DVD.7z.zip (This is actually a 7zip file but GitHub didn't let me upload it as-is. Just remove the .zip extension)
