Even though this file is automatically generated, CVS for the automake
project seems to have this checked into CVS presumably to handle the problem of a missing version.texi for on initial checkout/bootstrap. Seems odd, but I'm assuming automake developers know what they are doing. (On the other hand, given the quantity of hassles using automake, I could be very very wrong.)
