3a8d464286 UBI: create ltree_entry slab on initialization
Since the ltree_entry slab cache is a global entity, which is
used by all UBI devices, it is more logical to create it on
module initialization time and destro on module exit time.

54b2c8f93d UBI: silence a warning
This patch silences the following warning :

drivers/mtd/ubi/vmt.c:73: warning: 'ret' may be used uninitialized in this function

gcc can't see that we always initialize ret in all situations where it is
actually used. The one case where it's not initialized is when we BUG(),
but gcc doesn't know that we won't then continue and use an uninitialized
'ret'.

This patch results in code that does exactely the same as before, but it
also makes gcc shut up, so we generate one less line of warning noise.

393852ecfe UBI: add ubi_leb_map interface
The idea of this interface belongs to Adrian Hunter. The
interface is extremely useful when one has to have a guarantee
that an LEB will contain all 0xFFs even in case of an unclean
reboot. UBI does have an 'ubi_leb_erase()' call which may do
this, but it is stupid and ineffecient, because it flushes whole
queue. I should be re-worked to just be a pair of unmap,
map calls.

The user of the interfaci is UBIFS at the moment.

2362a53ec5 UBI: fix error code in ubi_io_read()
When NAND detects an ECC error, it returns -EBADMSG. It does not
stop reading requested data if one page has an ECC error, it keeps
going and reads all the requested data. If it fails to read all
the data, it does not return -EBADMSG, but returns the error code
which reflects the reason of the failure.

But some drivers may have bugs (e.g., OneNAND had) and stop reading
after the first ECC error, so it returns -EBADMSG. In turn, UBI
propagates this up to the caller. The caller will treat this as
"all the requested data was read, but there was an ECC error".

So we change the error code to -EIO if it is -EBADMSG and the read
length is less then the requested length. We also add an assertion,
so if UBI debugging is enabled, UBI will bug.

As pointed out by Yanmin Zhang, the problem was already fixed
differently (and correctly), and rather than fix anything, it actually
causes us to create a sub-optimal sched-domains hierarchy (not setting
up the domain belonging to the core) when CONFIG_X86_HT=y.

db99247ac6 tty: fix logic change introduced by wait_event_interruptible_timeout()
Commit 5a52bd4a2d introduced a subtle logic
change in tty_wait_until_sent(). The original version would only error out
of the 'do { ... } while (timeout)' loop if signal_pending() evaluated to
true; a timeout or break due to an empty buffer would fall out of the loop
and into the tty->driver->wait_until_sent handling. The current
implementation will error out on either a pending signal or an empty
buffer, falling through to the tty->driver->wait_until_sent handling only
on a timeout.

The ->wait_until_sent() will not be reached if the buffer empties before
timeout jiffies have elapsed. This behavior differs from that prior to commit
5a52bd4a2d.

I turned this up while using a little serial download utility to bootstrap an
ARM-based eval board. The util worked fine on 2.6.22.x, but consistently
failed on 2.6.23.x. Once I'd determined that, I narrowed things down with git
bisect, and found the above difference in logic in tty_wait_until_sent() by
inspection.

This change reverts the logic flow in tty_wait_until_sent() to match that
prior to the aforementioned commit.

f16b34aa13 lib: proportion: fix underflow in prop_norm_percpu()
Zhe Jiang noticed that its possible to underflow pl->events in
prop_norm_percpu() when the value returned by percpu_counter_read() is less
than the error on that read and the period delay > 1. In that case half might
not trigger the batch increment and the value will be identical on the next
iteration, causing the same half to be subtracted again and again.

Fix this by rewriting the division as a single subtraction instead of a
subtraction loop and using percpu_counter_sum() when the value returned by
percpu_counter_read() is smaller than the error.

The latter is still needed if we want pl->events to shrink properly in the
error region.
