I ran into a problem ripping some old DVDs (from a PBS TV series, The Power of Myth) using MakeMKV, which turned out to be related to CCExtractor. Once I gave up on trying to extract subtitles, the problem I was having went away. HandBrake was also able to rip these discs, subtitles included.
Here's the MakeMKV debug log, which includes error messages from CCExtractor:
Other than sending an ISO image of one of the two DVDs, if you can think of a way I can extracts just the subtitles for you, in a form that would reveal the bug, please let me know.

0.88 is quite ancient. Is possible for you to try out a more recent version of CCExtractor (standalone) without making use of the MakeMKV program (which seems to have included our software as dependency)?

Is it possible for you to provide us with the Subtitle-merged Video File which was provided by handbrake(C:/Users/username/Videos/THE_POWER_OF_MYTH_1/A1_t00.mkv), so we can check if it works with the main branch of CCExtractor? There have been some recent changes to the Teletext module.

Closing because we don't have this DVD
@kshetline Feel free to reopen if you are able to share it.
