It could be a good idea to help contributors what is expected of them by adding a clear contribution guidelines document. I always like to refer this great post by @migueldeicaza: http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2010/Dec-31.html as I myself fell into this trap more than once on different projects (not all open-source).

Delete Branch "%!s()"

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
