When a bunch of terminal tabs close, the tabs should automatically grow back to normal size, like Web browser tabs.

Workaround: Jig the window around a bit, such as tiling.

Does it not snap back when you move the mouse off the tab bar? The tabs don't move while you're closing them so as to not move UI elements that are likely under the cursor.
