What Windows build number are you on? I'm trying to think of another packaged, multi-instance application that you could test this with to see if it's specific to the Terminal, or more general to all centennial (packaged win32) applications.

Curious. Do you have Terminal pinned? If it's pinned, and you un-pin it and then re-pin it, does that help?

I'm not sure there's anything we can do here, unfortunately.

It's not pinned and it has the same issue when pinned. Typically applications either not support the middle mouse button click (i.e. it does nothing) or it launches a new instance of the application. Launching another application is weird.

This is how the terminal looks when pinned:

And the app is named 'App' instead of 'Windows Terminal' on right click:

Initially I though it could be due to being a store application but that's not the case, other store applications work as expected, for example 'Calculator'.

Hey did this ever get resolved on its own/? Maybe the store install got corrupted somehow? I'm pretty sure this isn't something that we have any control over. If it is still happening, then I'd bet you'll need to file feedback on the "Desktop Environment > Taskbar".

On Windows 11? Which OS version and Terminal version? Can you file feedback using Feedback Hub at the path listed above/?
