The Microsoft Store listing for Windows Terminal Preview shows:

What's new in this version

Version 1.11.2421.0

Please see our GitHub releases page for additional details.

However, when I install the software from there, I actually get version 1.11.2731.0. The version number in the "What's new" section is out of date.

Huh, thanks. Must've forgot that in the latest hotfix release. We're getting 1.12 ready now so we'll make sure to bump that too.

While this is being discussed I don't know if it has to do with the stable one but the context menu entry gets changed from Open in Windows Terminal to Open in Windows Terminal Preview after it updates for the first time when doing a clean install of Windows 11.

@rubenalamina I don't think that has anything to do with this issue.

This has been fixed. The Microsoft Store listing now says "Version 1.12.2931.0" and installs that version.
