Steps to reproduce

  1. Install Terminal from .msixbundle file downloaded from github, not from Store
  2. Pin Terminal to Start
  3. Download newer .msixbundle from github
  4. Update Terminal

Expected Behavior

Live Tile should have correct icon.

Actual Behavior

Live Tile is stuck on updating icon

Alas, this is a Store issue. For whatever reason, the store thinks the app is still updating, even if it's finished. The store get's bugged like this from time to time.

I would say "file feedback in the Feedback Hub on the Store path", but with live tiles going away in Windows 11, I'm suspecting this won't ever get fixed in Windows 10.

I've installed it manually via .msixbundle file. Not via Store, as Store is blocked and disabled by GPO on my company notebook. Yes, there is Win11 without Live Tile, but there is support for Win10 up to 2025.

Sorry, when I said "Store", I should have said "App Catalog", the part of Windows that's responsible for installing & updating apps. You're free to file feedback if you'd like!
