Windows Terminal version

1.12.10393.0

Windows build number

No response

Other Software

No response

Steps to reproduce

Because I am not allowed to install this on the companies Laptop I have to download it from home and unzip the downloaded file.

With that unziped file I cant start it on the laptop.

With the newest version I get "Cant load user settings" on startup.

Doint anything in the settings it will override my settings and the error will still show.

Expected Behavior

I expect it to load my settings.

Actual Behavior

It doesnt load the settings.

What's the full error message it gives you? There's been a few reports of this recently, which should be fixed in main (but not quite yet released).

Here it is. It is in German.
WindowsTerminal

There is not really an error code or something like that.

All my settings seem to be gone and if you change something in the settings, the settings file will be overriden.

It says I should check if my settings file has some syntax errors. It does not.

My settings file load perfectly fine in 1.10.210928004-release1.10

Thanks for the report! This is a /dupe of #12305, which is fixed and slowly rolling out as of version 1.12.1073x and 1.13.1073x
