CMD exit failes after using mrinfo cmd #17291

Steps to reproduce

launch WT to a CMD tab
issue cmd "mrinfo 1.1.1.1"
isssue cmd "exit"

Expected Behavior

the terminal should exit and close

Actual Behavior

C:\Users\hammack>exit
[process exited with code 1 (0x00000001)]

-> it does not close

Even if subsequent cmds are successful, exit is still blocked. Since this is an interactive shell, I see the errors in each cmd. No need to block an intentional exit, right?

We can just go ahead and continue in /dup #12946, no need to open a new thread.
