Command Palette background color doesn't update correctly when toggling with keyboard #17711

Steps to reproduce

  1. Ctrl+Shift+P to open command palette
  2. type color to select color scheme
  3. toggle color schemes using up/down keys
  4. the command palette background color doesn't update accordingly (scroll on the mouse scrollwheel seems to force it to update and you can see the difference)

That's wild. I can't get anything like that to happen locally. Do you have animations enabled in the OS/? I honestly don't know what could possibly cause that...

I can consistently reproduce this if I close all other windows and keep my desktop still. If I open up a browser window that has moving elements (like this page with the gif) on it, it immediately works as expected (without restarting the terminal or reopening the palette) 🤔

I can only repro this with non-acrylic backgrounds, but wowowow.

That's definitely not an us issue, but maybe there's something we can do to manually trigger the XAML repaint here.
