I'd expect the tray icon to be displayed only when WT is minimized. But the tray icon is always displayed. Am I misunderstanding?

I am having the same issue - seem like the "always show in notification area" setting should either have the terminal stay in the systray when closed, or hide the systray icon when the app is open / setting is disabled.

Right now it does neither.
