Expected Behavior

The background color to change

Actual Behavior

The background color stays Magenta whereas all other tabs backgrounds (Powershell and CMD) all change color when changed under their respective appearences settings

Could you share your settings.json file/?

I suspect you're changing the settings for the built-in WSL profile (with the penguin icon), and then using the Canonical-delivered one (with the ubuntu icon)

To access Ubuntu, I launch Windows Terminal Preview, then select Ubuntu from the dropdown menu tab.
The colour scheme should be Solarized Dark

You changed the settings for the "built-in" Ubuntu, 2c4de342.... But that profile isn't in the dropdown. The Canonical one (51855cb2) is. So when you go open "Ubuntu", you get the second one, which doesn't have any customizations.

You can however change the profile for "Windows.Terminal.Wsl". I would recommend setting that to not hidden. That might have been caused by Canonical wanting their styling a particular way.
