Following up on, it would be nice if Terminal had a nice UI feature to hint that we can change the default login user of WSL profiles directly in UI. But maybe other "typical"/"frequent" profiles can have some other special options which could be mapped as UI elements

Context: somehow my settings for this had broken and I solved it by modifying the command line in my Terminal's profile config from wsl.exe -d ubuntu to wsl.exe -d ubuntu --user vadimkantorov

You know, this is probably a request that's best served by the new WSL Settings app. You can find the announcement here: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/commandline/whats-new-in-the-windows-subsystem-for-linux-in-may-2024/#wsl-settings-gui-application-coming-soon. You can find the first WSL build with that available here: https://github.com/microsoft/WSL/releases/tag/2.3.11.

If you have any suggestions, I'm sure that https://github.com/microsoft/WSL would be the best place to service them ☺️
