Steps to reproduce

Log in as administrator account
Right click on Windows Terminal Icon
Run as Administrator

Expected Behavior

Windows Terminal launches with admin rights

Actual Behavior

Nothing appears, in event log, this error appears.

For the record, the appxpackage was downloaded from github and installed in powershell.

If I log in using the standard "administrator" account Windows Terminal runs correctly.

I tried clearing the profile of the affected account (which is a member of the administrators group) and regenerated a new one, same issue continued to occur.

Did you install the Terminal package for both users/?


notes: version: 1.19.2401.30002 is the hardcoded version for the WindowsTerminal.exe in Microsoft.WindowsTerminal_1.19.10302.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe, so at least that is right

I installed it for all users. I have used the exact same process on a number of machines, never experiencing an issue.

I'm actually having this issue on Windows 10. It runs as normal user, but not Administrator.
