History arrow keys is not working in Command Prompt in Git Bash #22054

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Git Bash in Windows Terminal.
  2. Enter cmd.
  3. Type something in the Command Prompt and press enter.
  4. Press up arrow key.
USERNAME@HOSTNAME MINGW64 ~
$ cmd
Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.26252.5000]
(c) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Users\USERNAME>@rem this is line 1

C:\Users\USERNAME>@rem this is line 2 (press up arrow key now)

Expected Behavior

Line 2 should be replaced with line 1 after pressing up arrow key.

Actual Behavior

Nothing happened.
