Terminal does not lock its settings file. You are welcome to change it at any time while Terminal is running.

Put another way: what problem are you experiencing?

Didn't test it yet. But the question I have is: When does WT write the file? On closing settings window or at closing WT?

I worry that when WT closes after the script finished the settings file gets overwriten.
