Description of the new feature

I disabled hide the title bar and always show tabs, hoping it would just show the terminal in full screen and the current profile I have open.

but look at this:

Terminal with Tabs

I want this experience persist:

Terminal with No Tabs

Proposed technical implementation details

Remove all the tabs if hide the title bar and always show tabs is disabled.

or it should have dedicated settings section for it.

Huh. We've got "focus mode" for "I don't want the titlebar or tabs" but I don't think we have "I want the titlebar but never tabs, even if I have multiple".

That sounds like the kind of thing there would be a dupe around here for...

thank you, "focus mode" is the answer for it.

Pretty sure if you press ctrl+tab, and keep ctrl held, then that UI should appear for you even in focus mode

There's also: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/terminal/customize-settings/actions#tab-search

and lastly you probably also want: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/terminal/customize-settings/actions#tab-search

Thanks, I have to set it manually, it would be perfect if the option was located in the Appearance section.
