Steps to reproduce

  • Download the latest artifact Microsoft.WindowsTerminal_1.22.11751.0_x64.zip
  • Extract WindowsTerminal.exe
  • Inspect the version number (1.22.250624001)

(optional)

  • Launch the application
  • Navigate to the about dialog
  • Inspect the version number (1.22.250624001)

Expected Behavior

  • Expected the version number of the release to match the version number of the binaries inside.

Actual Behavior

  • Version number is shown as '1.22.250624001' instead of '1.22.11751.0'

Alas, this is by design. We include a note on every release page indicating the version of the "unpackaged" or "portable" build. Thanks for filing it, however!
