Windows Terminal version

1.23.11752.0

Windows build number

10.0.26120.4741

Other Software

No response

Steps to reproduce

Enable Admin Protection on the insider versions of Windows.

Expected Behavior

No response

Actual Behavior

Opening Terminal does not copy/show the config of my user, instead creates a new temporary profile.

It should get the same appearance and settings of the user invoking, IMO.

Thanks for the report!

Unfortunately, one of the big things that "Admin Protection" offers is express separation between your user and the administrator.

Right now, our settings model is not suited for pulling out just the appearance settings and yeeting them across the admin boundary... but maybe in the future it will be.

I'm going to close this for now as it's not something we're planning on tackling or taking contributions to work on. Sorry!
