Description of the new feature

Xfce4-terminal have the ability to mark tabs as Read-Only. I wish Microsoft/terminal had the same feature.

It's useful when doing long-running scripts you don't want to accidentally interrupt.

It's possible I've misunderstood your request, but Windows Terminal already has the ability to mark a pane as read-only. From the command palette, search for read-only. Or see the documentation here:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/terminal/panes#marking-a-pane-as-read-only

Is that not what you need?
