Note that I didn't touch the several errors in the doc and doc/spec directories, since those seem to be dated and signed email excerpts, and I don't want to violate authorial integrity. Let me know if you would like me to fix those as well.

I skimmed several hundred usages of the word "it's" in the code. This actually wasn't as tiresome as it sounds, since many of the code comments in this repo are entertaining and educational — the adjectives do not necessarily apply in that order, but do possibly apply in that order.
