Go into Settings.
There is a Settings that looks like this:
"defaultProfile": "{574e775e-4f2a-5b96-ac1e-a2962a402336}"
Change the GUID to whatever profile you want to be used as default.

Now that I know what to search for, I also find it in the doc. Somehow it didn't click before...

Delete Branch "%!s()"

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
