Environment

Windows build number: Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.18363.778]

Steps to reproduce

  1. Opent new WSL window
  2. Shrink this window

Expected behavior

Windows shrinks and content will not change

I'm gonna resolve this one as a dupe for now. I'll add some context from #5666:

This seems less like it's something we're doing, but more an artifact of how bash handles reprinting it's prompt. Compare gnome-terminal with conhost:

As soon as the prompt wraps onto a third line, you bash seems to handle unwrapping particularly poorly.
