Description of the new feature/enhancement

The cursor shape can be changed as a setting, however it does not appear to be modified on the fly.

One use case for this is modifying the cursor in Vim when moving between modes, which becomes very difficult to give up once you're used to it in other terminals.

It doesn't appear to be working despite that issue being closed, but I'll close this duplicate anyway.
