Windows Terminal version (or Windows build number)

1.7.1033.0

Other Software

No response

Steps to reproduce

  • Go to settings from the drop-down.
  • In the GUI, elect an existing profile or create a new one.
  • Select Browse of the command-line field; the file explorer pops up.
  • Modifying the path in the path bar (edit, paste, etc.).

Expected Behavior

The file explorer shall work as usually expected.

Actual Behavior

Modifying the path in the path bar by any means is in vain; the instance freezes and does not respond to any operation.
No observable abnormal resource consumption occurs; the instance can be killed from the taskmgr withoud side effects.
Editing the JSON by hand, and editing the command-line (executable path) field in the GUI still works.

Is this the Terminal instance, or the explorer.exe instance?

Sorry for the slow response; my inbox got overwhelmed.

@skyline75489

the instance freezes and does not respond to any operation

Is this the Terminal instance, or the explorer.exe instance?

The Terminal instance, including the explorer pop-up, freezes altogether.

@Gravifer sorry for the long delay. Could you verify if this is still happening on the latest build? Thanks in advance.
