Windows Terminal version (or Windows build number)

10.0.21376.0, 1.7.1033.0

Other Software

Just wsl2.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a Powershell tab.
  2. Run wsl --shutdown.
  3. Open a wsl2 tab.
  4. Do nothing and wait.

Expected Behavior

The terminal window stay focused.

Actual Behavior

The terminal lose its focus at sometime before the shell is launched.

动画

Strangely, the issue only occur on my pc, but not my laptop.
I have tried everything I can to make the environment the same, but still the problem only occur on my pc.
Appreciate any help.

Ahh...I think I find the reason.
After disabling wslg, problem go away. My wslg version is v1.0.19.
May be I should report an issue there?

Still....no problem on my laptop, it also has wslg installed.

I'd definitely report it there. I don't have the darndest idea why this would be caused by the Terminal, so I'd be confident this is something weird wsl is doing. At least they'll have a better idea of how to debug / diagnose why it only happens on your PC.

Why is this closed with no explanation? Was there a fix? Doesn't sound like there was, just a workaround.

Why is this closed with no explanation?

The original filer of the issue was asked to file the bug on the WSLg repository.
